1. Promotion Overview
The Pivo Equestrian Turkey Trot Challenge invites eligible participants to use GPS Pocket Mode in the Pivo Arena app to record a horseback riding route that resembles a turkey when viewed on their route map.
One verified winner will receive one (1) Pivo Pod and twelve (12) months of Pivo Arena Premium, as specified in Section 6.
The Challenge is administered by Pivo Inc.
No purchase of a Pivo Pod, paid Pivo Arena subscription, or other Pivo product is required. A purchase will not improve an entry’s score or influence winner selection. Entrants must have access to a compatible smartphone, the Pivo Arena app, and GPS Pocket Mode. Ordinary device and data charges may apply.
Participation is subject to these Official Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
The Challenge is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old and have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry.
Residents of U.S. territories and possessions and individuals residing outside the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia are not eligible.
Entrants must have:
- A valid public Instagram or Facebook account.
- Must download, signup and use Pivo Arena app and GPS Pocket Mode.
- Permission to ride the horse and use the location where the session is recorded.
Pivo may request reasonable information to verify eligibility before awarding the prize. The Challenge is void where prohibited by law.
3. Promotion Period
The Challenge begins on November 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. U.S. Central Time and ends on November 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Central Time (the “Promotion Period”).
Central Time means the local time observed in Chicago, Illinois, including any applicable daylight saving time changes.
Both the qualifying GPS session and the public entry post must be completed during the Promotion Period. The public post’s platform timestamp will be used to assess whether the entry was submitted before the deadline.
Entries submitted outside the Promotion Period are not eligible. Entrants are responsible for allowing sufficient time to record, upload, and publish their entries.
Subject to applicable law, the Sponsor is not responsible for late, incomplete, inaccessible, misdirected, or unsuccessful entries caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including connectivity problems, device malfunctions, or platform outages.
4. How to Enter
To enter, complete all of the following steps during the Promotion Period:
- Download and signup on Pivo Arena App, select Pocket Mode. (Give the app all applicable location permissions to record the route. Note: Your phone must support Sensor Fusion).
- Plan a safe horseback riding route that resembles the shape of a turkey, check that GPS tracking is ready, start the session, and secure your phone in your pocket before riding.
- Ride the planned route at a pace appropriate for the horse, rider, and available space.
- End the session and take a screenshot that clearly shows the recorded GPS route.
- Publish the screenshot in a public Instagram or Facebook feed post or Reel.
- Tag the Pivo Equestrian official account for the platform used: @pivoequestrian
- Include #PivoTurkeyTrot and you can disclose that the post is a contest entry by including the statement “My entry in the Pivo Turkey Trot Challenge” in the caption. For video entries, also display the disclosure clearly in the video.
The GPS screenshot must be clearly visible (Not AI generated) and sufficiently legible to judge. Private stories, private messages, and comments do not qualify as entries.
Entries must remain publicly accessible through November 9, 2026. A potential winner must keep the selected entry publicly accessible until verification is complete.
No Pivo Pod is required. Entrants may use GPS Pocket Mode without a Pod.
Walking is permitted. Despite the Challenge name, entrants are not required to complete the route entirely at a trot. Walking and transitions between appropriate gaits are allowed. Speed, distance, and the proportion of the route completed at a trot are not judging criteria.
Authenticity and permitted edits
The submitted route must be generated by GPS Pocket Mode during the entrant’s own horseback ride within the Promotion Period.
Hand-drawn, AI-generated, fabricated, or digitally altered route paths are not eligible. Entrants may not submit another person’s session or route.
Cropping, resizing, and obscuring personal or location information are permitted, provided these edits do not change the route itself or prevent it from being judged.
Promotional turkey-route illustrations are examples only and are not eligible entries. Entrants are not required to reproduce the illustrated route exactly.
Entrants must retain the original session record until prize verification is complete. The Sponsor may request reasonable evidence of authenticity through a private channel, while allowing unrelated personal information and precise location details to be obscured.
Multiple entries
Multiple entries are permitted, provided each entry features a different qualifying GPS session and independently satisfies these Terms.
Posting the same session more than once, including across different platforms or accounts, counts as one entry.
5. Judging and Winner Selection
This is a judged skill contest. The winner will not be selected randomly.
Eligible entries will be evaluated by Pivo Equestrian using the following criteria:
- Resemblance to a turkey — 60%: How clearly the recorded route resembles a turkey, including recognizable features such as a body, head, and tail feathers.
- Creativity and originality — 40%: How inventive, imaginative, and distinctive the route design is.
Each criterion will be scored on a scale of 0–100. The weighted total will be calculated by multiplying the resemblance score by 60% and the creativity score by 40%, then adding the results. Where multiple judges score an entry, their weighted totals will be averaged.
The eligible entry with the highest final score will be selected as the potential winner.
Likes, views, shares, follower count, riding speed, distance, and purchases will not affect scoring. Entries will not receive additional points for difficult or risky maneuvers.
Tie-breaking
If entries receive the same final score, the entry with the higher average score for resemblance to a turkey will rank higher.
If a tie remains, an additional judge will evaluate the tied entries using the same criteria and weighting. If necessary, further additional judges will evaluate the tied entries until the tie is resolved.
Notification and verification
We will announce the selected winner on November 9, 2026, through its official social media channels and will contact that entrant directly through the applicable official account listed in these Terms.
The potential winner must respond within five (5) calendar days after the direct notification is sent and provide information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, authenticity, and prize delivery details. The response deadline will be stated in the notification.
Selection remains subject to verification. A public announcement does not waive eligibility or verification requirements.
If the potential winner does not respond by the deadline, is ineligible, fails reasonable verification requirements, or declines the prize, we may select the next highest-scoring eligible entrant, applying the stated tie-breaking procedure where necessary.
Confirmation of the winner or announcement of an alternate may occur after November 9, 2026. No prize will be awarded if no eligible entries are received.
Judging decisions are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Prize
One (1) verified winner will receive:
- One (1) Pivo Pod.
- Twelve (12) months of Pivo Arena Premium subscription.
Only the items expressly listed above are included. A smartphone, tripod, or other accessory shown in promotional materials is not included.
Delivery
Standard shipping to the verified winner’s address within the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia will be covered by Pivo Equestrian.
The prize is expected to ship within 30 days after winner verification and receipt of a valid delivery address.
Premium activation
The Sponsor will provide activation instructions after winner verification. The twelve-month Premium period begins after receiving the winner's email address.
For an existing Premium subscriber, the prize will extend the current subscription.
A payment method is not required to redeem the prize. At the end of the twelve-month prize period, the account returns to the free plan or with optional renewal charges.
Use of Pivo Arena remains subject to its applicable terms of service. The prize-specific activation, duration, and renewal arrangements described in these Terms will be disclosed to the winner before redemption.
Other prize conditions
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.
The winner is responsible for applicable taxes and ordinary costs of using the prize that are not expressly covered by the Sponsor. Any required tax documentation must be provided through the Sponsor’s designated private process.
7. Horse and Rider Safety
Horse and rider safety and welfare must always take priority over the Challenge.
Horseback riding involves inherent risks. Entrants are responsible for assessing their abilities, their horse’s condition and suitability, the riding environment, and whether participation is appropriate.
Participants must:
- Plan the route before riding and adapt it to the available space, the rider’s ability, and the horse’s comfort.
- Ride only at a pace appropriate for themselves, their horse, and the prevailing conditions.
- Follow applicable riding rules, facility requirements, and relevant instructions from instructors, trainers, or other responsible personnel.
- Wear appropriate riding safety equipment.
- Start tracking and secure the phone before riding. Do not handle or view the phone while mounted and moving.
- Avoid sharp turns, unsafe maneuvers, excessive repetition, or attempts to force the horse to complete a particular shape.
- Respect other riders, people, and animals and avoid obstructing shared riding areas.
- Stop if conditions become unsafe or the horse or rider shows signs of discomfort, fatigue, distress, or injury.
Walking and appropriate gait transitions are permitted. Entrants should simplify or abandon the design whenever necessary for safety or welfare.
Pivo Equestrian does not direct, supervise, or control participants’ rides and does not provide riding, veterinary, or emergency services through the Challenge.
Participation is voluntary. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by law.
8. GPS Accuracy and App Limitations
GPS routes are estimates and may be affected by signal strength, device settings, location permissions, environmental conditions, device capabilities, and other technical factors.
Pivo does not guarantee that a GPS route will precisely represent the participant’s actual path or produce a particular shape.
GPS Pocket Mode must not be relied upon for emergency response, safety monitoring, or navigation where precise location information is essential.
Technical inaccuracies will not automatically disqualify an otherwise eligible entry. However, the submitted route will be judged as displayed in the screenshot using the criteria in Section 5. Entrants may not redraw or otherwise alter the recorded route to correct GPS inaccuracies.
Participants should stop rather than repeat a ride excessively to obtain a more precise recording.
9. Privacy and Public Posts
Entry requires a public social media post. Entries may therefore be viewed, copied, or shared by other platform users.
Before posting, entrants should review the screenshot and crop or obscure sensitive information, including home addresses, barn locations, map labels, coordinates, and personal information about themselves or others.
Disclosure of a precise riding location is not required. Privacy edits will not reduce an entry’s score, provided the route remains unchanged and sufficiently visible to judge.
Entrants must have the necessary permissions to share identifiable images or information about other people.
Eligibility verification, prize delivery, and other information requested directly by the Sponsor should be provided through the designated private channel, not in public comments.
Pivo will handle personal information collected in connection with the Challenge in accordance with its privacy policy: https://pivoequestrian.com/pages/privacy-policy
10. Content Rights and Publicity
Participants retain ownership of their entries.
By entering, participants confirm that the GPS session is their own and that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit and publish all accompanying content. Entries must not infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Pivo may access and review entries to administer the Challenge, verify eligibility, and conduct judging.
Pivo will hold permission to downloading and republishing an entrant’s screenshot or using the entrant’s name, username, or likeness in a participant feature, winner announcement, advertisement, or other promotional material.
Permission for optional promotional use is not required to enter or win and will not affect judging.
No transfer of content ownership is required.
11. Disqualification and Changes to the Challenge
Pivo may disqualify an entrant or entry if it reasonably determines that the entrant has:
- Failed to comply with these Terms.
- Provided false or misleading eligibility or verification information.
- Submitted a fabricated, AI-generated, digitally altered, or another person’s GPS route.
- Used fraudulent or deceptive methods to enter.
- Submitted content that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
- Engaged in unsafe riding or conduct that compromises horse welfare in connection with the entry.
- Attempted to interfere with the fair operation or integrity of the Challenge.
Pivo may modify, suspend, or cancel the Challenge if circumstances beyond its reasonable control materially compromise its integrity, fairness, safety, or proper administration, subject to applicable law.
Material changes will be communicated through the official Challenge page and/or the Pivo's official social media channels. Changes will not be applied arbitrarily or used to favor particular entrants.
If the Challenge must end early, Pivo will, where reasonably feasible and lawful, judge eligible entries received before the interruption using the published criteria. Any alternative arrangements will be communicated publicly.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pivo is not responsible for technical failures, platform outages, lost or inaccessible entries, GPS inaccuracies, device malfunctions, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control that affect participation.
Participants acknowledge that horseback riding involves inherent risks, including serious injury, property damage, or death. Participants remain responsible for their riding decisions, their horse’s welfare, the suitability of the riding environment, and the information they choose to publish.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or limits any liability, consumer right, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Social Media Disclaimer
This Challenge is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., or their respective parents, subsidiaries, or affiliates.
Pivo, rather than any social media platform, is responsible for administering the Challenge and providing the prize.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, each entrant releases Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Meta Platforms, Inc. from claims and liability arising from or connected with the Challenge. This release does not apply where prohibited by law.
Entrants must comply with the applicable terms, community guidelines, and promotion rules of the platform used to enter. Entrants must not inaccurately tag content or encourage others to do so.
14. General Conditions
These Terms govern the Challenge and apply to all entrants. Participation constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
Pivo’s decisions regarding eligibility, judging, and administration are final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The Challenge is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws. If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
If promotional materials omit details or conflict with these Terms, these Terms govern to the extent permitted by applicable law. Pivo will correct material inconsistencies through its official channels.
